ELWEU David, M.Afr DEFENDS HIS BACCALAUREATE SYNTHESIS: On the morning of May 30, 2017, Deacon Elweu David defended his Bachelor of Theology synthesis at Studium Theologicum Salesianum in Jerusalem. The title of his thesis was: “The completion of God’s saving plan: Creation, Adam’s fall, the restoration in Christ, the human response to God’s call, the foretaste of the Divine communion in the Church, the fulfillment in Heaven”. read more

DEFENDS HIS BACCALAUREATE THESIS: On the 30th May 2017, at 09:00, Deacon Cletus ATINDAANA defended his synthesis after four years of theological studies in the STS. The theme of his synthesis is, “’My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work” (John 4:34). Jesus Christ’s obedience to doing the will of his Father was accomplished through his public ministry and consummated in the paschal mystery, the sign of which is the Eucharist. read more

Visit Salesian Pontifical University at the Service of The Holy Land: The Salesian Pontifical University’s Jerusalem Campus of the Faculty of Theology recently ventured into a project to make good literature on the Holy Land available to pilgrims from around the world. The concept originated with the recognition that many peoples from around the world, who visit the Holy Land as pilgrims do not have books available in their mother tongue.read more

On March 9th 2017, the teachers and students of STS had a special opportunity to participate in an extraordinary event: “Cultural Initiative: Cultivating an Ecumenical Culture within the Church: Theology, Vision and Practice”. Mass in the Holy Sepulchre & Registration of new students: On the morning of Monday September 12, 2016, the new students of the Salesian Pontifical University Faculty of Theology Jerusalem campus met just before 7am outside the sacristy of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We prepared to celebrate the Holy Mass at one of the holiest sites in the entire world, the very tomb where Jesus Christ was laid and resurrected.

Studium Theologicum Salesianum is the Jerusalem Campus of the Faculty of Theology of the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome

The STS offers a four-year Pontifical Bachelor's Degree in Theology. The courses are ideal for Salesians, other Religious, Diocesan Seminarians and Lay people of various Rites who wish to study Catholic Theology in the cradle of Christianity. The STS is located a short 20 minute walk from the Old City of Jerusalem, the site of the major events of Christ's life. read more
