ELWEU David, M.Afr DEFENDS HIS BACCALAUREATE SYNTHESIS: On the morning of May 30, 2017, Deacon Elweu David defended his Bachelor of Theology synthesis at Studium Theologicum Salesianum in Jerusalem. The title of his thesis was: “The completion of God’s saving plan: Creation, Adam’s fall, the restoration in Christ, the human response to God’s call, the foretaste of the Divine communion in the Church, the fulfillment in Heaven”. read more

DEFENDS HIS BACCALAUREATE THESIS: On the 30th May 2017, at 09:00, Deacon Cletus ATINDAANA defended his synthesis after four years of theological studies in the STS. The theme of his synthesis is, “’My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work” (John 4:34). Jesus Christ’s obedience to doing the will of his Father was accomplished through his public ministry and consummated in the paschal mystery, the sign of which is the Eucharist. read more

Visit Salesian Pontifical University at the Service of The Holy Land: The Salesian Pontifical University’s Jerusalem Campus of the Faculty of Theology recently ventured into a project to make good literature on the Holy Land available to pilgrims from around the world. The concept originated with the recognition that many peoples from around the world, who visit the Holy Land as pilgrims do not have books available in their mother tongue.read more

Visit STS Study Trip: Our two days study trip to Galilee started from the STS in Jerusalem on Wednesday at 7.00 am. We were 58 persons and the main leaders and organizers were Fr. Biju Michael, Fr. Visit Topographical Visit to the Western-Wall-Tunnels and Davidson-Center: On Thursday the 7th of April the students of the first year went out for their final topographical visit with Dr. Leopold Vonck. Their journey through ancient Jerusalem led them finally all around the Western Wall with all its hidden secrets.read more

The Feast Of The Annunciation - A National Holiday In Lebanon” by Fr Hicham Chamali, Sj: On 22 of March 2017, the “Focus on Islam Lectures,” saw the students and faculty of the STS together exploring an experience of prayer between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon. Ecumenical Culture Cultivating an Ecumenical Culture within the Church: Theology, Vision and Practice
On March 9th 2017, the teachers and students of STS had a special opportunity to participate in an extraordinary event: “Cultural Initiative: Cultivating an Ecumenical Culture within the Church: Theology, Vision and Practice”. The opening prayer, at 9.00 am, was led by Archbishop Pizzaballa. The opening words were delivered by the President of STS, Fr. Biju Michael.

BOOK PRESENTATIONS ARCHAELOGICAL EXCURSION TO HERODIUM, SOLOMON'S POOLS, HEBRON : Here at STS, we are already fully immersed into the second semester and another archaeological excursion took place on March 2nd 2017. This time we managed to visit three sites located in Judea. Archaeological Excursion “ISLAMIC ARCHITECTURE IN JERUSALEM” BY DR. Archaeological Excursion Archaeological Excursion to En Gedi and Qumran National Park: On 9th of February 2017, the students of STS had an archaeological excursion to En Gedi and Qumran National Park.
