Writing from the Holy Land

By David M. Neuhaus SJ

This collection of essays brings together reflections of a participant, observer and analyst from the Holy Land.  Rooted in the life of the Church and the Holy Land, the author brings his perspective as religious, priest, exegete and social scientist to issues that touch upon the past, present and future of Christians in the Middle East.

The essays are divided according to three axes: Christians in the Holy Land and in the Middle East, the contemporary dialogue between Christians and Jews and the interpretation of the Bible today.  The essays represent a part of the author’s contribution to both academic research and the Church’s reflection on her identity and mission.
