By Giuseppe Quadrio
This book is the English Translation of Don Giuseppe Quadrio’s writings compiled by Fr. Remo Bracchi and published by LAS-Roma under the Italian title “Esercizi Spirituali.” The translators have used the new title “You are made for Eternity,” taking inspiration from Fr. Quadrio’s own writing.
From the Introduction:
“From the pages of his diary we can trace how the Retreats with their regular rhythm helped Quadrio to climb the high mountain of sanctity. He welcomed the Word that was announced to him with the same intensity of efforts that he put into the preparation of talks he preached to others. He used the same concreteness that transpires in the resolutions he made for his own spiritual growth, to suggest to others, resolutions aimed at extirpating a defect or conquering a virtue, so that they may open their hearts fully to the undisputed action of the Holy Spirit. Clarity, precision and powerful syntheses are characteristics with which he followed and wrote summaries of each conference even when he was very young.”
